So, I was gifted a pendulum yesterday. I have a few, but i've not actually come across one like this.
It's a clear quartz that's wrapped in copper wire with a small magnet on either side of it. It's a big crystal too, about four inches long. The friend which gifted it to me, told me it was magnatized, or maybe it was polarized. one of the two. obviously it would be both due to the small magnets i mentioned. any way, my question is, has any one any idea how this effects if at all the function of the pendulum?

Well, I imgaine if you were in an area with a lot of magentic line in the earth, it might be a bit more wobbly. If you placed between them the pull might even things out?

Just a guess here, using my sleep deprived brain. Hope it helps.

If you are using the pendulum to answer yes/no questions then having it be polarized or magnetized shouldn't effect it, it will work the same as one that has not been polarized/magnetized because it is the way in which you hold the pendulum (steady grasp on the chain but with a long enough length that it can sway from slight vibrations) and your practice with it (develop a baseline for what is a yes answer and what is a no) that determine its usefulness.

The shape of a pendulum (tear drop or inverted long skinny pyramid) might be used like a wand to direct energy into a beam, and then having it be polarized or magnetized would be an added benefit (like if you were using it as a healing tool).
